Author Chris Alexander will be at the Barnes & Noble Bookstore for a

discussion and signing of his book, “Creating Extraordinary Joy.” The

FRIDAY

Spencer’s Treasures will host a “Treasure O’Gold” casino fund-raiser

to benefit the Huntington Beach based charity. The fund-raiser casino

night will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight on March 15 at Los

Caballeros, 17272 Newhope St., Fountain Valley. The fee is $35 per person

and includes dinner, casino chips, raffle and drink ticket. The nonprofit

organization donates treasure chests of toys on a continuing basis.

SATURDAY

Millennium Moons, an exhibit of photographs by Larry Newton of the

full moons of Southern California, will show from March 16 to April 13 at

TUESDAY

The Huntington Beach Concert Band is an all-volunteer community

organization with approximately 70 members, led by music director Tom

Ridley. Founded in February 1973, the band plays a wide variety of

musical styles -- from classical, to Broadway, to contemporary. They

perform frequently at events and locations throughout Southern

California, including Disneyland, Leisure World, Huntington Beach Pier

Plaza, and Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The Huntington Beach Concert

Band is open to all interested musicians age 18 and over. Rehearsals are
