Kristan Ann Sullivan of Huntington Beach, was named to the fall 2001

semester Dean’s List at Salisbury University, Salisbury, Md. . . . Kyle

Boswell, 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Boswell of Huntington Beach has

advanced to the Elks Regional Hoops Shoot Finals to be held in Las Vegas,

NV. March 8-10. He is being sponsored by Huntington Beach Lodge 1959,

where his grandfather Bill Boswell is a member. . . . Marine Corps PFC.

Stephanie Kinzel has completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit

Depot, Parris Island, SC. She is a 2000 graduate of Agoura High School in

Agoura Hills and the daughter of Sue Rayburn of Huntington Beach, and

Robert Kinzel of Thousand Oaks. . . . Navy Chief Petty Officer David

Marquez, a 1972 graduate of Marina High School in Huntington Beach, was

recently promoted to his current rank while serving at the Naval Computer

and Telecommunications area Master Station, Wahiawa, Hawaii. . . . Army

Capt. Michael Stinnett has completed the Ranger training course at the

U.S. Army Ranger School, Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. He received his

bachelor’s degree in 1995 from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point,

N.Y. Stinnett is the son of Darlene Stinnett of Huntington Beach and a

1989 graduate of Westminster High School.
