Community college men’s tennis: OCC holds San Bernardino, 6-3

SAN BERNARDINO - The Orange Coast College men’s tennis team won

five out of six singles matches to defeat nonleague host San Bernardino

Valley College, 6-3, Wednesday.

Pirates Zoran Korac, Allen Hoang, Chris Trepte, June Yanai, Chris

Colero won their individual matches. Colero answered a 0-6 loss in the

first game and won the next two, 7-6, 6-3.

OCC improved to 5-1.

Espiritu, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1; Yanai (OCC) def. Chang, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5; Colero

(OCC) def. Figueroa, 0-6, 7-6, 6-3.

Doubles - Hoang-Nguyen (OCC) def. Viegas-Ybarra, 8-6; Korac-Trepte

(OCC) lost to Tang-Chang, 7-9; Colero-Yanai (OCC) lost to Figueroa-Wiley,

4-8.
