Prep baseball: Tars drop opener
ALISO VIEJO - The Newport Harbor High baseball team surrendered two
three-run home runs and lost its Sea View League opener, 6-1, to host
Aliso Niguel Wednesday.
Aside from the home runs, Sailors Coach Joel Desguin said his squad,
“played real well defensively.”
“We turned three double plays,” he said. “Adam Cherry did a great job
at shortstop for us and Ryan (Torrey) threw a great game. We are still
struggling with our hitting.”
