WEATHER FORECAST
After some early morning fog and low clouds, the skies will clear up
for a mostly sunny afternoon. Highs will top out in the 70s this
afternoon. Take advantage of today’s warmth as cooler conditions prevail
the rest of the week. Overnight lows should be in the low 50s in
Newport-Mesa.
Expect not only cooler, but breezier conditions on Wednesday.

BOATING FORECAST
In the inner waters, the westerly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots this
afternoon, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 4 to 6 feet. The swell
will increase this evening to 5 to 8 feet.
Out farther, a small craft advisory is expected as the northwesterly
winds blow 15 to 25 knots early, before increasing to 20 to 30 knots this
afternoon. Waves will start off at about 2 to 4 feet, but will build to 3
to 5 feet. The northwest swell will be about 8 to 10 feet, but will
increase to 9 to 12 feet tonight. Expect similar conditions on Wednesday.
SURF
Today’s looking great as surf should reach the chest- to
shoulder-range, with the occasional head-high. Even larger waves are
expected to roll in on Wednesday and Thursday.
