WEATHER FORECAST
Another mostly sunny day dawns. Expect a high of 71 to warm
Newport-Mesa in the afternoon. A low of 52 is predicted for the night and
early morning hours. Overall, there’s little chance it’s going to rain
today. But there is need for sunscreen, so slather a little on if you
plan to be outdoors.

BOATING FORECAST
Close to shore, southeastern morning winds of 10 knots or less will
start blowing from the southwest to west at 10 to 15 knots in the
afternoon. Expect wind wives of 1 to 2 feet and a western swell of 3 to 5
feet.
Further out is a different story, with a small craft advisory issued.
Winds will come from the northwest at 15 to 25 knots, with locally higher
gusts in the afternoon. Expect wind waves of 2 to 4 feet and a northwest
swell of 7 to 10 feet. Be careful.
SURF
High tide early in the morning will once again help put the kibosh on
morning surf conditions. Expect waves to be in the 1 to 3 foot range.
