2. WALK WITH NATURE. The final walking nature tours of the season

exploring the Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve will begin at 9 a.m.

Saturday. The guided tours will last about two hours and will leave every

15 minutes until 10:15 a.m. They will begin at the corner of East Bluff

3. DO IT FOR THE CHILDREN! The 19th annual Spirit Run will take place

beginning with registration at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Fashion Island in

Newport Beach. The event will feature 5K and 10K walks, eight youth

races, a toddler trot and a children’s expo. Individual entries cost $22

for adults, $15 for children 12 and younger and seniors 60 and older.
