Community college softball: Pirates storm back to win, 11-8
COSTA MESA - Despite six errors, the Orange Coast College softball
team came back from an 8-4 fifth-inning deficit to defeat Orange Empire
Conference visitor Santa Ana, 11-8, Wednesday.
OCC freshman Katie Hoffman smacked a double with the bases loaded to
key a five-run fith-inning, while Kelly Sharum, Autumn Pearce and Jessica
Lee contributed two hits each.
Freshman pitcher Charlotte Kraft went the distance to earn her fifth
win of the season.
The Pirates (8-7, 2-4 in the OEC) return to conference action
Wednesday, hosting Saddleback at 3 p.m.
