JC softball: OCC handles Lasers

IRVINE - Orange Coast College freshman pitcher Charlotte Kraft

surrendered only one earned run and her offense collected 12 hits to key

an 8-3 Orange Empire Conference win over host Irvine Valley Monday.

Kraft, staked to a 5-0 lead the first two innings, struck out seven

and allowed just eight hits while going the distance.

OCC’s hitting stars included Kelly Sharum (3 for 4), Autumn Pearce (2

for 4 with two RBIs), Jessica Lee (2 for 4 with one RBI), Katie Chapman

(2 for 3) and Emilee Bodiford (2 for 4).

OCC improved to 7-7, 1-4 in conference.
