WEATHER FORECAST
It should be beautiful and sunny this afternoon, with highs darting
into the mid-70s in Newport-Mesa. But with such wonderful skies come
breezes, some of which will blow 15 to 25 mph at times. It’ll get windier
into the evening. Overnight lows will dip into the low 50s.
Expect similar sunniness and slightly warmer readings Friday but
without the winds.

BOATING FORECAST
The northeasterly winds will blow their typical 10 to 15 knots this
afternoon in the inner waters, with 2-foot waves and a west swell of 4
feet. Later, not much will change.
Out farther, the winds will blow about 10 to 15 knots as well, with
2-foot waves and a northwest swell of 6 feet. The conditions will be
similar later.
SURF
Thanks to a slight boost in the northwest swell, the waves will be in
the waist- to chest-high range today. Expect slightly smaller surf come
Thursday. Another northwest swell will roll in Sunday.
