Community college men’s tennis: OCC edges Southwestern

The play of Orange Coast College’s doubles teams lifted the Pirates
over visiting Southwestern, 5-4, in a nonconference men’s tennis match
Tuesday.
After OCC split in singles to tie the score, 3-3, the Pirates’ Robert
Chu teamed with Allan Hoang to win, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 1 doubles
spot. June Yanai and Long Nguyen paired to win, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, at the No.
3 spot. Nguyen, Chris Trepte and Yanai won their singles matches for the
Pirates (2-1).
