Cal Grant deadline looming
Gov. Gray Davis wants high school students to know that February is
Cal Grant month -- and is launching a comprehensive effort to inform
students about the grants and help them apply by the March 2 deadline.
“California has the most generous financial aid program in the nation
based on merit,” Davis said in a statement.
Under the Cal Grant expansion program, signed by Davis in 2000, every
college-bound student who qualifies in time will get a Cal Grant of up to
$9,700 per year for tuition or fees at qualifying California colleges or
universities.
