Austin Chase scored four goals and had two assists to lead the

Corona del Mar High club roller hockey team to a 10-4 victory over

Newport Harbor at the Gretzky Center in Irvine Tuesday.

Harbor’s Calvin Anderson opened the game with an unassisted goal, but

CdM’s David Bolton took a pass from Chase and shot the puck into the net

to tie the score, 1-1.

Harbor recaptured the lead on a scramble in front of the net that

allowed Vincent Mungo to jam the puck under the goaltender and into the

net.

Adam Freede scored a goal with an assist from Blake Smith to keep

Corona del Mar in the game.

In the second period, Mungo struck again with a goal to pull Harbor

ahead, 3-2, but Chase scored to knot the score.

Corona del Mar took the lead when Chase added another goal off a pass

from Blake Smith seconds before time expired in the second period.

Freede had a hat trick and two assists, including two third period

breakaways. Blake Smith had a goal and Gary Smith notched his first

points of the season, scoring CdM’s final two goals.

Mungo and Kelly led Harbor offensively, with Alex Whitesides adding a

third period unassisted goal. CdM took 36 shots on goal while Harbor had

28.
