South Huntington Beach defeats Monterey Park

South Huntington Beach remained unbeaten on the young National Junior

Basketball season by routing Monterey Park last weekend, 71-43.

T.J. Lipold had 27 points to lead South Huntington Beach. Taylor King

and Thomas Marcin also scored in double figures with 21 and 12 points, respectively.

The victory moves South Huntington Beach to 3-0 overall.

South HB 53, Fountain Valley 4

The South Huntington Beach Chargers defense turned in a spectacular

performance by limiting Fountain Valley to just four points. Anne

Stapleton was the game’s high scorer with 12 points. South Huntington

Beach, now 4-0, also received 10 points from Elyse VanLeer, nine by Karly

Damico, eight from Lauren Kaprielian and six points each from Simone

Ibbotson and Wahine Kepilino.
