WEATHER FORECAST
It’s looking to be a wonderful day today, with beautiful blue skies,
all the sun you can ask for and readings in the low 70s. It’ll feel even
warmer to boot.
On days like these, it pays to live in Southern California in January
and not in the Midwest or on the upper East Coast. Tonight, anticipate a
crescent moon and lows in the mid-50s.
Expect similar conditions on Tuesday, though lows should dip into the
40s. Otherwise, enjoy, as the Beach Boys sang, the warmth of the sun.

BOATING FORECAST
The westerly winds will blow light all day at about 10 knots in the
inner waters, with waves of about a foot and a west swell of 5 to 7 feet.
Later, the swell will build to the 7- to 9-foot range.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds, too, will blow about 10 knots.
The west swell of 8 to 10 feet will build later to 9 to 12 feet.
SURF
Most of today’s waves will be similar to those encountered on Sunday,
so expect knee- to waist-highs with the occasional chest-high. Another
northwest swell rolls in on Tuesday, though, and the size should reflect
as much with some head-highs locally.
