WEATHER FORECAST
It should be mostly cloudy most of the day, though light showers
should arrive in the late evening. Overnight, the rain will pick up a bit
and continue on through Thursday morning. By Thursday afternoon, the
ground should be able to begin drying up.
Highs today will be in the low 60s in Newport-Mesa. Lows will hover in
the mid-50s tonight. Expect similar temperatures on Thursday. The good
news is the weekend’s looking to be clear.

BOATING FORECAST
The southeasterly winds will blow 10 to 15 knots in the inner waters
this afternoon. Expect stronger gusts throughout the day. The combined
seas will be in the 5- to 12-foot range. By night, the winds will ease up
and the west swell will be 8- to 10-feet.
Out farther, there is a small craft advisory in effect for hazardous
seas this morning. The southeasterly winds will blow 10 to 20 knots
early, but will ease to 10 to 15 knots this afternoon. The combined seas
will be in the 10- to 15-foot range. Not much will change tonight, though
rain is expected.
SURF
While surf should pick up Thursday, most waves will be in the knee- to
waist-high range today with the occasional chest-high. On Thursday,
however, some head-highs may roll in. A few San Diego beaches can expect
some nearly double overheads.
