WEATHER FORECAST
A couple of clouds won’t change the fact that the weather in
Newport-Mesa is kind of pretty right now, with the clear air making the
mountains visible. The high of the day will be 66 and the low will be 44,
putting today’s temperatures right in the average range for late
December.

BOATING FORECAST
Close to shore, variable winds of 10 knots will kick up wind waves of
about 1 foot, with a swell of 3 to 5 feet coming in from the west.
Further out, its a different story with the National Weather Service
placing a small craft advisory for hazardous seas early in the morning.
North to northwest winds of 10 to 20 knots will join with a northwest
swell of 12 feet to make boating dangerous for some.
SURF
The west-northwest swell that started yesterday is expected to hold
through today, bringing waves in the 4 to 5 foot range. The surf should
be solid.
