Closures for the holidays

The following civic offices will be closed at various times because of

the holidays.

* Newport Beach City Hall will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas

Day, as well as New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Trash collection and street sweeping will not take place on Christmas

or New Year’s Day. For more information, call the city’s General Services

Department at (949) 644-3055.

* Costa Mesa City Hall will be closed Christmas Day.

* The Newport-Mesa Unified School District office will be closed from

Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. It will reopen Jan. 2. School will

resume on Jan. 7.

* The Orange County Board of Supervisors has canceled a month’s worth

of meetings during the holidays. In addition, only two meetings are set

for January.

The board’s next meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 8 in the

hearing room, 10 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana.
