The Mesa Verde Homeowners Association has named the winning houses in

its first-ever holiday decorating contest. Winners were picked in four

categories: most colorful, most patriotic, most humorous and best

overall.

First place for most colorful went to 911 Presidio Drive, with 2732

Lorenzo Ave., 917 Junipero Drive and 972 Coronado Drive as runners up.

First place for most patriotic went to 963 Coronado Drive, with 1102 El

Salvador, 2884 El Rio Circle and 2761 Lorenzo Ave. coming close. First

place for most humorous went to 820 St. Clair St., with 277 Lorenzo Ave.,

883 Sonora Road and 2871 Regis Lane placing. Best overall was won by 1091

and 1095 El Camino.

Winners received gift certificates and a large wooden snowman was

placed in the front lawn of all the first place winners.
