Retail Roundup
Ever thought you could buy a puppy at Victoria’s Secret?
Well, not a real one anyway, but with a minimum $50 purchase at
Victoria’s Secret stores through the holiday season, the cute and cuddly
Lola Puppy can be yours for $12.
The puppy has white fur and is wearing its own plaid ensemble. Plaid?
That kind of falls short of expectations. Roof!
Make yourself a beary merry Christmas
Have no fear, the solution for that last-minute gift is here.
But you’re gonna have to work for it.
The Build-A-Bear Workshop is the place to make the stuffed animal of
your dreams to light up a loved one’s eyes. Or, of course, you can be
greedy and just make one especially for yourself. And there’s a store
conveniently located in the Newport-Mesa area at Fashion Island, 925
Newport Center Dr., Newport Beach.
Choices are endless from bears, cats, dogs, frogs, cows or monkeys,
and costs range from $10 to $25.
That includes all the materials to shape, stuff and seal the furry
creature, a personalized birth certificate and a carrying case to take it
home.
Build-A-Bear has developed quite the name for itself, being named
earlier this year as Internet Week Magazine’s Best Company to Work For.
The first store opened in St. Louis, Mo., in 1997.
For those last-minute shoppers, the store will be open 10 a.m. to 10
p.m. through Dec. 22, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 23, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec.
24. The store will be closed Christmas Day, and will be open from 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m. Dec. 26.
No appointment is necessary. Call (949) 640-0865 for more information
