James F. Atkinson and R. Michael Healey were named president and vice

president, respectively, of the Mesa Consolidated Water District’s Board

of Directors on Monday.

Atkinson, who has been a board member since 1998, is an active member

of the community who has worked at the Aerospace Corp. in El Segundo for

the last 26 years. He also represents the district on several committees

and serves as the Orange County Water District liaison.

Healey has served on the board since 1995 and serves as the district’s

representative to the Municipal Water District of Orange County. Healey

is a retired lieutenant from the Costa Mesa Police Department, where he

worked for more than 25 years.
