WEATHER FORECAST
It should be partly cloudy most of the day today with highs barely
reaching 60 in Costa Mesa and barely falling short of 60 in Newport
Beach. It looks like the chilly breezes will stick around, though, making
for a few hours of sunshine. Overnight lows will again dip into the low
40s.
Temperatures will heat up a tad Wednesday, though the breezes will
subside, so it should actually feel warmer. And the good news is that
Thursday will be even warmer than that.

BOATING FORECAST
The northwesterly winds will blow 10 to 20 knots in the inner waters
today, with waves of 2 to 3 feet and a west swell of 5 feet. Winds will
pick up a bit later, blowing 15 to 20 knots, with 3-foot waves. The winds
should subside overnight.
Out farther, the northwesterly winds will blow stronger at 15 to 25
knots throughout the day and evening. Waves will generally be about 3
feet with a northwest swell of 12 feet. Not much will change later, but
be cautious with the high swell.
SURF
Conditions aren’t looking too good today. Late this morning, there may
be a few waist- to shoulder-highs, but most of the day will present some
knee-high surf. Might as well stay warm indoors.
