AYSO Region 57: Flaming Ice burn Spitfires

Nick Svennson scored four goals to lead the Flaming Ice to a 6-0

victory over the Spitfires in an AYSO Region 57 boys under-14 soccer

game.

Max Page, Brian Taylor, John Hess and Geoffrey Grant had assists.

Taylor Martini and Ryan Hultman each added a goal with assists from Jake

Campbell and Ben Anshutz.

Goalkeeper Ford Noe was solid in net to earn the shutout. Clay

Russell, Vlad Vakulenko and George Logan dominated on defense for the

Ice, who advance to the championship game.

In boys under-10 action:

* Mako Sharks 6, Killer Bees 1 - Nick Taormina and Chris Freeman each

scored two goals. Sebastien Welch and Braydon Blackford also scored goals

for the Sharks, who earned their 13th straight victory. Midfielders Ryan

Peyton and Chandler Mitchell kept defensive control of the field without

injured fullback Ian Massoth.

Saahm Aresh, Taylor Battram, Cameron Koppel and David Fenner protected

the Sharks’ net.

In girls under-10 action:

* Chicklets 2, Sparks 2 - Jillian Taylor scored two goals for the

Chicklets while the Sparks received tallies from Haylee Raguse and Kelly

Feeley. The Chicklets received strong performances from Brynn Johnson,

Madison Simmonds, Catherine Sullivan and Jenny Vogel.

The Sparks received excellent play from Kaylee O’Connor, Feeley, Sarah

Keddington and Bridget Fox.
