Briefly in business

FountainGlen Properties LLC, with corporate offices in Newport Beach,

has emerged as one of the leaders in California’s senior housing

industry.

The firm has 2,522 apartment units within 12 properties in various

stages of operation, construction or development within the state.

A catalyst in FountainGlen’s success has been the recent merger with

Pacific Gulf Properties Inc., a Newport Beach-based real estate

investment trust.

FountainGlen has eight active senior apartment properties known as The

Fountains in operation in Anaheim Hills, Rancho Santa Margarita and

Laguna Woods in Orange County, Temecula and Escondido in San Diego

County, and Riverside in the Riverside County.

Two other projects are set to begin in Laguna Niguel and Huntington

Beach.

All of The Fountains are two- to three-story apartment buildings that

feature clubhouses, fitness centers, pools, spas, libraries, computer

learning facilities, courtyards and extensively scheduled social

activities.
