Obituary

Visitation and viewing for Costa Mesa resident Hilda I. Carey will be

held from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Mortuary, 4471 Lincoln Ave.,

Cypress. Memorial services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, also at

Forest Lawn. Mrs. Carey was 92. She volunteered as a Gray Lady in the

1950s with the American Red Cross where she drove veterans to and from

the Sawtelle Veteran’s Hospital. She also volunteered often at the Costa

Mesa Senior Center for many years. Mrs. Carey is survived by daughters

Jane Barr, Frances Smith, Mary Lou Dorn and Patty Miller and son Eddie

Carey.
