Women’s basketball: Chaffey rallies to edge OCC, 54-49

SAN LUIS OBISPO - Dietra Naulls of Chaffey College poured in 17

points and teammate Katie Owens added 13 as the Panthers rallied in the

second half to defeat Orange Coast, 54-49, in women’s basketball action

Friday night in the semifinals at the Cuesta Tournament.

Liz Mendoza led Orange Coast (7-2) with 12 points, four steals and

four assists. OCC, which led at halftime, 26-21, will play for third

place today at 2 p.m. against Grossmont or Cuesta.
