College men’s basketball: Anteaters fall in fifth-place game

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Jerry Green, Jordan Harris and Adam Parada
each scored 14 points, but it wasn’t enough for the UC Irvine men’s
basketball team as the Anteaters fell to Kent State, 75-64, in the
fifth-place game of the University Hoops Classic at the Sewall Center
Sunday.
Kent State’s Trevor Huffman scored a game-high 22 points to lead the
Golden Flashes.
Kent State took a 37-25 halftime lead and UCI (3-2) could get no
closer than eight points in the second half.
The Anteaters shot 39% from the field in the second half, 43%for the
game.
Kent State shot 46% for the game.
UCI’s Mike Hood and Stanislav Zuzak each had eight points. Harris
contributed seven rebounds while Parada had six.
