A cloudy morning is the best the day has to offer. The temperatures
will kick off in the mid-50s and only get as high as the mid-60s,
partially thanks to the rain that should be falling by the early
afternoon. And then keeps falling.

BOATING FORECAST
Windy and rainy today. Most of the day will see southeast winds
blowing near 20 knots in the local waters, and they will kick up 3-foot
waves in the afternoon. The swell has fallen a bit, now only between 4
and 6 feet. The winds likely will switch late and blow from the southwest
after nightfall.
The deeper waters will see some strong winds in the afternoon at
aabout 25 knots from the south. They will turn to the west and northwest
after the sun goes down. Rain and rain and rain.
SURF
Not much of a swell, eh? The swell-that-wasn’t continues to back down
today with most of Newport Beach only in the shoulder- to head-high
range. Expect more junky shape with an occasional steep face. Get in
before the rain.
