Roy’s of Newport Beach will open for lunch for the holiday season,
beginning Monday through the end of December. Lunch will be served from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. “Over the past two years, we
have had constant flow of guests stopping in the restaurant to see if we
offer lunch,” said Randy Schoch, Roy’s owner-operator. “So, this year we
decided to fulfill their wishes and welcome guests for lunch throughout
the holiday season.” Chef Chris Garnier has created a lunch menu that
features fresh Delaware lump crab and avocado dip with crispy shrimp
chips and spicy sesame butter drizzle ($13.95), “roll your own” soy
seared Hawaiian fish salad with pickled vegetables and roaster chicken
with buttery whipped potatoes; shiitake mushroom and shoyu pan gravy
($17.95), and Roy’s classic seared roasted macadamia nut dusted Hawaiian
white fish in lobster butter sauce, available in half order ($12.95) or
full order ($22.95). Other items include bonito braised rock shrimp and
crab salad sandwich with foccacia bread; Asian slaw and rustic fries.
Roy’s will make culinary gift baskets that will be available for the
holidays. The “Mele Kalikamaka” is a silver basket with a Roy’s “Feasts
from Hawaii” cookbook, a pair of souffle rings and a $50 gift
certificate. It costs $95. The “Deluxe Ali’I” is a silver basket filled
with a Roy’s “Feasts from Hawaii” cookbook, a pair of souffle rings, two
aloha-print kitchen mitts and a $100 gift certificate. It’s available for
$165. Roy’s features the Hawaiian-fusion cuisine of renowned chef Roy

from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with merchandise from a store in Fashion Island. On
