OCEAN VIEW SCHOOL DISTRICT WRAP-UP
Vote: 4-0
WHAT HAPPENED:
The board voted unanimously to award a bid to JB Bostick Co., Inc. for
asphalt work at various district sites.
WHAT IT MEANS:
The district received five bids for jobs including extending the
parking lot at Hope View Elementary School and JB Bostick Co. gave the
lowest bid of the five at $49,698. The money will be expended from the
Capital Facilities Fund.
In other district news:
Tuesday’s board meeting also included an information presentation for
the landscape plans for the four middle school gymnasium/auditorium
projects. Paul Westberg, project architect of Westberg & White, Inc.,
gave the presentation to the board, discussing the trees and shrubs that
will be planted at the schools. The four middle school principals were on
hand and selected stucco colors for their respective school buildings.
Landscape architect Baxter Miller prepared the proposed landscape design
plan.
