WEATHER FORECAST
Though the rain isn’t expected until Saturday, westerly winds of 10
mph will blow today to try to ruin everyone’s Thanksgiving hair.
Otherwise, it’ll be partly cloudy on this turkey day with highs in the
mid-60s in Newport-Mesa.
Not much will change into the night as lows stay in the high 50s and
low 60s. Early morning Friday will be cooler with temperatures in the
mid-50s. Highs will creep into the mid-60s again. Expect cooler and
wetter conditions Saturday. Gobble, gobble.

BOATING FORECAST
A small craft advisory remains in effect for both the inner and outer
waters. A west swell of 6 to 12 feet is expected. The westerly wind will
blow a typical 10 to 15 knots early, but will increase to 15 to 20 knots
in the afternoon. Waves should be in the 2- to 3-foot range. Expect early
morning fog.
Out farther, there will be a large northwest swell of 16 feet early.
The northwesterly wind will blow 10 to 20 knots, but will increase to 20
to 25 knots in the afternoon and evening. Waves will be in the 1- to
3-foot range.
SURF
While Wednesday turned out to be much of a bust, larger waves are
expected today. Near the jetty, some 10-foot waves should roll in.
Elsewhere, some head-high to overhead waves are expected.
