BOATING FORECAST
A small craft advisory is in effect for both the inner and outer
waters today because of a large swell. In the inner waters, a west swell
of 8 to 12 feet is expected, while a west swell of 12 to 16 will be found farther out.
Otherwise, everything will be fairly typical in the inner waters with
northwesterly winds of 10 to 15 knots and 2-foot waves. Out farther, the
winds will blow strong at 15 to 25 knots, creating waves of 3 to 4 feet.
SURF
A northwest swell will be at its best today, generating waves in the
overhead range. Expect the occasional 8-footer to roll in. The conditions
should continue Thursday and return to the waist- to shoulder-high range
Friday. Be thankful for big surf.
