The 15th annual Huntington Beach Economic Conference will be held from
7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Hilton Waterfront Beach Resort,
21100 Pacific Coast Highway. This year’s theme is “New Currents in
Economic Development.” The morning speaker will be economist Esmael
Adibi; luncheon speaker will be author William Fulton. There will be a

The Huntington Beach Church of Religious Science is hosting a career
workshop by Allen Feldman. Topics will include: coping with change or
loss of job, giving a winning interview, networking, preparing the

The Preservation Society of Huntington Dog Beach is seeking volunteers
for its monthly clean-up day at Dog Beach from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Hebrew Academy is hosting “Club Royale” for sponsors, affiliates

PARENTING
The Moms Offering Moms Support Club, a nonprofit support group for
stay-at-home mothers, organizes daily activities for mothers and their
children including park play days, fun field trips and age appropriate
play groups. Special interest activities just for mom are included. Every
month, members perform service projects to assist several organizations

The Pacific Coast Mothers Club, based in the Huntington Beach area, is
actively seeking new members. The group offers stay-at-home and employed
mothers an opportunity to socialize and make lifelong friends with other
moms, kids and families. The club offers weekly, age specific play
groups, children’s parties and activities, fun and educational monthly
outings just for moms, and volunteer opportunities that benefit local

The Huntington Beach Mothers Club seeks new members. Since 1978, the
group has been bringing moms together for friendship and support. Moms

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, a support group for family
and friends or those caring for the mentally ill meets the second and

Jewish Family Service offers free ongoing bereavement support groups
for adults at all stages of loss at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and 1
p.m. Thursdays. The groups share experiences about dealing with grief,

A free one-hour divorce mediation consultation with an experienced
attorney and psychotherapy is available the first and third Saturdays of
