WEATHER FORECAST
Following a cool night and morning, temperatures will pick up under
sunny skies today to the low 70s in Costa Mesa and the high 60s in
Newport Beach. Lows will again drop into the 50s overnight. Enjoy and
expect slightly warmer conditions on Thursday.

BOATING FORECAST
In the inner waters this morning, the westerly winds will become
northwesterly, blowing 10 to 15 knots, with waves of 2 feet and a west
swell of 5 feet. Much will remain the same into the night, with areas of
fog developing.
A small craft advisory remains in effect for the outer waters as
northwesterly waves blow 10 to 20 knots, with 1- to 3-foot waves and a
swell of 10 to 12 feet. By late afternoon, the swell will subside to 8 to
10 feet. Expect similar conditions into the night.
SURF
Overhead waves should pound the area early, though they’ll eventually
drop into the chest- to head-high range. With Monday’s rain, the county
health care agency has issued an advisory that elevated bacteria levels
may be hazardous to swimmers’ health.
