College cross country: UCI women finish seventh

The UC Irvine women’s cross country team took seventh out of 23
teams in the NCAA Western Regional at Tuscon Saturday.
Stanford won with 39 points. Tara Chaplin (20:40.1) of Arizona was the
individual champion in the 6,000-meter race at Randolph North Golf
Course.
UCI’s Julie Manson (22:16.6) was 29th out of 165 runners and Tessa
Cendejas (23.09.3) was 47th.
Other UCI women: Kaleena Yee (49th, 23:11.4), Lisa Massoth (51st,
23:14.7), Amanda Armstrong (57th, 23:28.3), Jenna Keith (62nd, 23:36.0)
and Kim Ramirez (92nd, 24:21.4).
UCI men (10,000 meters): Travis Morisoli (65th, 33:33.9), Jon Doroski
(94th, 34:29.7) and Brian Harrison (99th, 34:57.5).
