Readers Respond -- Readers throw out final thoughts on Koll project

I was somewhat on the fence regarding this project but now I’ve joined
the true Greenlight team. I’m going to pass out flyers in Newport Shores.
Vote no.

The GIC (Greatly Imaginative Collaborators), or Greenlight
Implementation Committee, are doing all they can to remain low-key,
hoping they won’t be found out for what they are. Gross Incompetent
Clods for the Koll Towers.

Because Koll began to deceive and confuse the issue with voters, I
only look at the negative effects this project will have on Newport
Beach’s tranquillity.

I was determined to be open minded about each project that came up
under the Greenlight ordinance -- read the materials, weigh the impact,
etc. -- but I am so offended with the sleazy tactics of the “Greenlight
Implementation” group that I will vote no as a protest, regardless of any
merit the project might have.

Deceptive campaigns like the Koll development do not belong in Newport
Beach. It is so typically underhanded of the Orange County developers
community to run such deliberate campaigns to confuse the voters and
sneak their projects through.
