Reds win over the whites at Fleming’s
Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Newport Beach recently
released results from a study that proved red wines account for almost
60% of all the company’s wine sales.
Cabernet sauvignons account for 23% of the sales in the 10 Fleming’s
locations nationwide. Merlots make up 15% and Shiraz sales make up for 8%
of the red wine total.
The study showed white wines are still popular, generating more than
40% of Fleming’s wine sales. Chardonnays brought in 22% of the market and
sauvignon blancs generated 9% of these sales. Champagnes and sparkling
wines made up 5%.
