Surf and Sun
WEATHER FORECAST
It’s still cooling down as the high will barely reach the mid-70s
today, bringing temperatures more associated with fall. Meanwhile, the
pesky clouds just don’t want to leave, so enjoy some partly sunny skies.
At least the low is still about 62 degrees. Expect cooler readings
Thursday. Can snow be on the way?

BOATING FORECAST
The morning will begin with dense fog in the harbor, though it should
dissipate once it warms up and the southwest winds become 10 and 15
knots. Such winds will create 2-foot waves and a southern swell of 5
feet. The same will occur during the evening and night, though the
southeasterly winds will die down to 10 knots and the fog will return.
It won’t be much different out farther, though a northwest swell of 9
feet is expected. The winds and waves will subside into the night with
10-knot breezes and 1-foot surf. The fog is expected to settle in.
SURF
The waves are still hanging in there but will subside as we exit
August and enter September. Rolling in today will be waist- to
shoulder-high surf with the occasional 5-footers.
However, Thursday will only be fair with knee- to waist-high waves and
some 4-footers. Today’s the day to make the warm water, decent waves and
warm temperatures worth it.
