WEATHER FORECAST
It’s just plain hot and sunny these days as the high will top off at
about 84 today amid beautiful blue skies. The UV index is expected to
level off at 8, but sunscreen should still be a must for those that take
to burning easily.
Overnight, temperatures will drop off 20 degrees for the decent low of
64. Expect much of the same on Tuesday. With less than a month until
fall, it might be wise to hit the somewhat warm beach waters.

BOATING FORECAST
Patchy morning fog will dot the harbor while a light wind blows in the
morning. Come afternoon, the southwest wind will continue to be light at
10 knots, producing waves of just about a foot and southwest swell of 4
feet. Expect similar conditions into the night.
Out farther, the northwest winds will blow a bit stronger at 10 to 15
knots, generating waves of 2 feet in the morning. By afternoon, however,
the winds will pick up to 15 to 25 knots, with waves of 4 feet and a
northwest swell of 8 feet. It’ll stay the way into the night, though the
winds will die down into Tuesday morning, allowing dense fog to roll in.
SURF
The better surf kicks in today as a steep south swell creates waist-
to head-high waves and the occasional 6-footers. Conditions are expected
to be fair to good.
Tuesday should also serve up some great surf, though it will subside
Wednesday and will get even weaker come Thursday. Take advantage of it
now.
