An educated decision?

As an interested and active member of the Newport Beach/Orange County

community, I was delighted to learn that the Daily Pilot will again be

covering UC Irvine activities. UCI is an institution that adds a quality

of life to our community that we all can enjoy and benefit from. What

happens on the campus in the arts, entertainment, sports, etc., is

important news to all of us. The Pilot is fulfilling its mission as a

newspaper for our community by this coverage.

Thanks again for taking this action, and I look forward to excellent

coverage of the many things that are happening at UCI.

Great news on the UCI coverage. Of course Costa Mesa residents attend

UCI. It’s a great, reputable and forward-thinking school, one of the best

institutions at which to get a great education.

I’ve been taking extension classes there and am currently enrolled in

an e-business certificate program. There is so much for you to cover.

Extension, for one, should get more coverage. There are many interesting

courses for adults, for entertainment or career advancement.

Not only will your readers learn about what is happening with

basketball, baseball and other fine athletic teams, you may also find

This university is trying to reach out to our community, offering many

fine faculty and staff presentations on a weekly basis. Perhaps you can

alert your reading public to the terrific opportunities to learn from
