WEATHER FORECAST
A nice mild morning with a few clouds starts off the day. Temperatures
will be in the mid-60s on the way to a hot and sunny 81. Things will cool
off quickly, however, and by dinner time it will be in the low 70s. Late
afternoon will be nice and sunny.
BOATING FORECAST
Light winds in the harbor will keep the waves about 2 feet, with some
swells at 4 feet. The winds should peak 15 knots or so. Watch for the
usual morning fog.
In the deeper waters, there’s a small-craft advisory, with the
strongest winds at 30 knots northwest of San Nicolas Island. The waves
will be 4 to 5 feet. Watch for a northwest swell at 10 feet.
SURF
They don’t call it the summertime blues for nothing. Today brings more
of the same, 2- to 3-foot waves from a cross of southwest swell and
northwest wind swell. A steep south swell is poised to hit by Sunday
evening, but even that might miss us (but Huntington might see some nice
head-high waves).
