CARWASH
WHAT HAPPENED
The Planning Commission approved the one-year extension for a
conditional-use permit to build a single-bay carwash at the Shell service
station at 2590 Newport Blvd.
WHAT IT MEANS
Tom Talebi, who applied for the permit, will be granted the extension.
VOTE: 5 to 0
APPROVAL
SOUTH COAST COUNSELING
WHAT HAPPENED:
The commission voted to continue Jaime Hill’s request for a permit to
provide drug, alcohol and domestic abuse counseling and instructional
services at 3001 Red Hill Ave. In addition, Hill requested to establish a
shared parking arrangement at the site.
WHAT IT MEANS:
The commission will hear Hill’s request at the Oct. 8 meeting.
VOTE: 4 to 1
