THE WEATHER FORECAST
Though it’ll start off a bit cloudy, the sun will dominate the
afternoon and early evening, showing its strength at 74 degrees at about
1 p.m. It should feel a few degrees warmer, though it will still fall
short of typical July temperatures.
Meanwhile, the overnight low of 64 will feel a bit cooler.
Everyone out in the sun should put on sunscreen, as the UV index will
hit 10 by about 1 p.m.
Going into the weekend, temperatures will be warmer, with Saturday at
75 and Sunday at 77. Again, afternoon UV levels should hover around 9 and
10.

THE BOATING FORECAST
Those on the inner waters should expect a light afternoon wind at 10
to 15 knots with 2-foot waves. Fog may play a factor in some areas in the
morning. By nightfall, the same conditions should be expected, though the
wind may become lighter. Again, fog will roll in.
Those on the outer waters should expected much of the same during the
afternoon. By night, northwestern winds will increase to about 20 knots
producing waves in the 2- to 3-foot range. There, fog will also roll in.

SURF
A slow-building southwest swell will continue this afternoon into
Saturday and may produce some 5- and 6-footers in the area, though waist-
to shoulder-high surf will be the norm.
The generous surf will begin subsiding by Sunday, a trend that will
continue into next week.
