Moving on: Snell, Cuyler set futures

CORONA DEL MAR - Corona del Mar High seniors Eric Snell and Cavan

Cuyler plan to continue their collegiate careers as walk ons.

Snell, who has earned All-Newport-Mesa Distirct honors in football,

basketball and baseball, will be a walk-on defensive back for the UC

Berkeley football program next fall.

Cuyler, a two-time All-Pacific Coast League pitcher who completed his

senior campaign with a 7-3 record to help the Sea Kings win the Pacific

Coast League crown, said he plans to walk on at UC Irvine, which is

renewing its baseball program next spring.

Another CdM senior, Charlie Alshuler, said he plans to play on the

club volleyball team at the University of Michigan.
