At-Ease clothing store will host a benefit from 1 to 8 p.m. today for
Down syndrome. Team Up for Down Syndrome, an organization formed to help
improve the lives of individuals living with the disorder, will receive
10% of all proceeds generated today from a men’s fashion presentation and
a shopping benefit. A reception will be held outside the men’s store from
6 to 8 p.m., featuring Anaheim Angels commentator Rex Hudler,
play-by-play partner Steve Physioc and former Angels pitcher Mark
Langston. Ten percent of the day’s proceeds from both the At-Ease and
At-Ease Women’s & Home Store will be donated to Rex and Jennifer Hudler’s
Team Up for Down Syndrome, which the couple founded to help the Down
syndrome community nationwide. The couple has a 4-year-old son diagnosed
with the disorder. The event will also feature a custom-suiting seminar
by Austin Taylor, presented by owner Dave Welch, and a product
presentation by Rick Solomon, owner of Axis Sportswear and author of “A
Man’s Guide to Business Casual Clothing.” There will be a Mezlan shoe
trunk show, featuring a preview of the fall line of shoes and
accessories. Ten $500 gift certificates from the At-Ease collections will
