Community College: OCC soccer players move on
Orange Coast College men’s soccer players Spencer McDearmon and
Geno Vitale-Sansosti, a pair of first-team, all-Orange Empire Conference
selections, have finalized their transfer plans, Coach Laird Hayes said.
McDearmon will play for Cal State Fullerton in the fall and
Vitale-Sansosti will play at Vanguard.
McDearmon, a standout defender, was selected as Coast’s Most Valuable
Player as he and team captain Vitale-Sansosti helped guide the Pirates to
the state championship game and a No. 4 finish in the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America rankings.
Vitale-Sansosti led OCC with 15 goals, including four against Palomar.
McDearmon and Vitale-Sansosti became the second and third members of
last fall’s team to announce their transfer plans. In January, Matt
Moseley announced that he will play at UC Irvine this fall.
