A bank on Harbor Boulevard in Costa Mesa was robbed Monday, police
said.
Costa Mesa Police Sgt. Darell Freeman said the man who robbed the
California Federal Bank at 2700 Harbor Blvd. of an undisclosed sum fled
out the side door of the bank shortly after the 3:30 p.m. robbery. Police
said they are unsure if he had a weapon.
Inside the locked bank at 5:45 p.m. Monday, officers interviewed
employees. A white sign on the bank’s front door read “This branch is
temporarily closed due to an emergency.”
