Orange Coast Middle College High School, on the Orange Coast College
campus, is accepting applications for the 2001-02 school year.
A total of 110 high school juniors and seniors are enrolled in the
program, which is now in its fifth year. The school is designed for
high-potential, underachieving high school students and is open to high
school students throughout Orange County. It is a collaboration between
OCC and the Newport-Mesa Unified School District.
Classes are taught by specially selected high school teachers and some
students have the opportunity to take classes that are taught by OCC
professors.
Students graduating from the school leave with a high school diploma
and a varying number of college credits. More than 50 students will
graduate during the school’s third commencement ceremony at 3 p.m. May
31.
