COSTA MESA - The Costa Mesa High boys volleyball team lost a 15-8,
15-6, 15-5 Pacific Coast League match to visiting University Wednesday
afternoon.
“We played them a lot tougher today than we did the last time,” Mesa
Coach Dave Sorrells said. “I wish we had another month left in the season
because we’re getting better and better. We’re almost there.”
Carlos Jaime and Eli Solis each had six kills for the Mustangs.
Sorrells was also pleased with the strong defensive play of Gilbert
Landeros.
The Mustangs will play at Northwood on Friday, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
