They pay big bucks to the commentators at ESPN when the National
Football League holds its annual draft of college football talent. Better
they should just give Jim Anderson of Laguna Beach a call and ask him his
opinions, they might save a lot of time and money.
Anderson nailed 11 first-round choices in terms of picks by teams to
claim the $500 reward in the Daily Pilot’s Very Most Relevant Contest IV,
celebrating Irrelevant Week XXV1.
Among Anderson’s feats were naming nine of the top 12 players chosen
by individual teams, and of the 31 players selected on the first round,
he named 27.
No one came up with Brigham Young University’s Tevita Ofahengaue as
Mr. Irrelevant XXVI, but it didn’t matter, it was irrelevant inasmuch as
that tie-breaking item was unnecessary.
Anderson reigned supreme in the contest and will be presented with his
$500 during Irrelevant Week ceremonies in June.
